Pedantry trap?

Surely Melanie would know that Hylobatidae are (lesser) apes--gibbons and siamangs--not monkeys.

They get everywhere you see. We need a bigger trap, with more, and sharper, teeth.

In fact, why don't we just buy some sharks.

With or without laser beams attached to their heads?

That would only work if the pedants were in the water.
Now I do know that about 0.75 of the Earth's surface Is
(IS) water, but I also believe that the common pedant [And most (of) the less common varieties] is a land-based creature.
So, sharks no good!
Perhaps we might try Jets?

I hate it when it does that.

I'm thinking a large sign saying "Saint Michaels Lake" with a boardwalk going out towards it, and a paintbrush & paint nearby. They walk over to add the apostrophe, the plank tips up drops them into the water, and the sharks eat them.
Needs work, but it's a start.

Nice!
Neat!
Satisfying!
What more need I say?
Piranhas, instead of sharks?

Wow, that is impressive! The problem is, will it keep working if the pendants figure out the plank? And what would one do if he isn't near a lake named after a saint?
(Put up a sign saying Everyone must contribute to the best of their ability outside a collection box and have the word "their" touch sensitive to activate a trap door? In case the lake fails.)

Better plan, I was trying to get them near the lake so the sharks could get them. Unfortunately, the apostrophe on Michael's (any name would do, but it needs to blatantly be genitive singular) was all I can think of that you can easily adjust to be correct. But using the "there, their, they're" method will work wonders, I suppose.

Do we actually want to kill them. I'm sure that a large number of pedants may be an asset somehow. Maybe if you get them all to correct you in the same direction, you could use it to power a turbine.
