Elizabeth Sastre did a great job of reading the series as recorded books. She is a bit too good looking for a THursday but she absolutely inderstands the part.

I don't know, maybe if Jasper wrote the screen play for it, just because it came from the book doesn't nessesarily mean that it has to be the same as. Take Douglas adams works, not one time do any of the stories match each other, but they are all good. either way.

for Thursday. I have no idea. honestly I don't pay too much attenction to the actress on screen, the problem you would have is that if your actor or actress is more known to the populus than your character is then what is being shown the character or the person?

take the cat in the hat....I've heard people didn't like it because who ever played him didn't play him, but made up his own character.

by the way...I've been convicted of Gramatical Homicide, and charged 18 years to life, so don't bother telling me about all the spelling mistakes. It's already on my record.

Famous names sell movies and it is boring for us to cast unknowns in our fantasy versions of movies 'cos it is so much harder to disagree with each other.

How about Sir Ian McKellan as Thursday?

Well, Alistair Sim played the headmistress at St Trinians, Peter Sellars played Grand Duchess Gloriana XII of Grand Fenwick and there is a long tradition of humans playing Mole, Toad, Ratty etc. so why not?

Today the sweet pies are on the right, the savoury are to the left. I am not sure about the ones in the middle, but they may be pork and apple.

potato and meat, steak, cheese and onion, mince and onion, sausage and celery, chicken, with mushroom, leek, asparagus and/or onion in varios combinations as well as pork, beef, mutton and game cold pies. All marked with different sized "S" pastry letters so that you can tell them apart. Help yourself.

After listening to the Ffirst three installments on tape...I surmised that the only way to possibly pull off a visual adaptation of The Thursday Next series would be to have it animated.

I do agree with someone above who suggested John Cleese as Bradshaw. I also picture Michael Palin as Adrian Lush.

Hi billiam,

it can be fun making up fantasy cast lists, can't it?
As well as cyber food & drink you can join in lots of other pointless games in Nextian Chat. We tend to hang out there except when there is a new book out. I think it is so that Mr Fforde can ensure that our damage is limited to a small area, but I may be wrong.
