The Schleswig issue, wich gave Otto von Bismarck such headaches, has got sort of a late commentary. Scanning the results of yesterday's german federal elections, I found that Bismarcks great-great-grandson, the current Count Carl Eduard von Bismarck (CDU), won a seat in the parliament...guess where?
He is the new representative for the duchy of Lauenburg, which nowadays is an electoral ward in the south of the land Schleswig-Holstein (between Hamburg and Lübeck)...
Look at him grinning: [www.bundestag.de]
