The references to the Glantisant in SR seem to refer to the Questing Beast. Are these two monsters one and the same, and if so, why did Jasper decide to switch to Glantisant?

You see, I'm not familiar with the book it comes from. What book is it? Does it have both names in that book as well?

Its from Arthurian Legend... apparently mentioned in passing in Mort d'Arthur, and the original Olde French legends, and then of course expanded and mythicated and gentrified ever since. It is a she, and some tales have her forming a *cough* romantic attachment with the knight(s) who are hunting her. King Pellenor and/or the whole line of King Pellenors were cursed to endlessly hunt the beast. Sir Palomides was also involved in the hunt.

Lots of decent info here... and some less decent. Apparently it has Avoidance 35 and Siz 65.

That statement is either so deep it would take a lifetime to fully comprehend every particle of its meaning, or it is a load of absolute tosh. Which is it, I wonder?
