I can't believe it took so long on my first reading to see the slap stick. though I grant myself a lot of credit to see it just slighly before landen did.

I was surprized, but there were a few more chapters, so I kept reading. usually you wait till the end to kill off your character if your in a series. but that's usual....fforde we can safely say is not "usual".
