hehehe, it's not BAD...just baaaad, get it? (Plus, it's been my experience that when there are copious amounts of HTML tags being used within Java type things, one missed bracket combined with some commands that aren't browser friendly can really blow up the page. Then it gets ugly! Or in this case "uglier" lol!)

Wait until it's working! I've been using cascading stylesheets, and also DIV to create the side bar and stuff. The advantage is that I can change everything really quickly and also make the links a bit funkier. The disadvantage is that I had to learn a whole load of extra bits of script. I've now done that, but now have to throw everything together and ffind some kind of content...

no worries - why do it if it ain't good enough to nick??? I only did it to find out how far you can stretch it. Only problem is i'm learning all this stuff, but then I'll feel obliged to use it on my webpage, which is currently nice and graphically clean. Nevermind....

It automatically numbers the list. Hence removing item 2 doesn't mean that you have to renumber everything else. (Guess what I've been spending hours doing recently !)

Funnily enough, that's what I'm looking at at the moment. although in my case it's Scotland in the 20th Century. Which is pretty similar. And I haven't had a shave for a couple of days too.

That was HTML Module 1, which will be repeated on Thursday at 0430. The next programme on The Open University features a bloke with a dodgy beard telling us all about Crop Rotation in the 14th Century.

By George. I think he's got it ! (We'll be moving on to lists next.) The tag is < ol > for an ordered list. Ie. One with numbers Then each list member needs an < li > Finally, < / ol > to end the list. Unorder lists use < ul > Comme ca (I'll be amazed if this all works first time !)

color="red" size="5" - note the "s btw, font size is really aggravating - use H1 - H6 for different sizes. For those wanting to put links in... use A HREF="http://www.website.com/ and then just /A to close it.
