Well, there's the Gossard Superboost II satin push-up bra (style number 7950). It's available in white, black or cappuccino, £23, full refund if not delighted. There are other styles available too, but since the site is still in a state of flux they're not all appearing just yet. We'll let you know as soon as the site is updated.

There should be a much greater choice available very soon, as Panache are about to expand the size range of many styles in their popular Superbra range down to a D cup. Watch this space, as they say!

I'm willing to accept that the Snork Maiden had the advantage of a fluffy fringe in the looks department, but no way would Moominpappa have gone for such a flibbertigibbet! He would've been lost in his moodswings without Moominmama's timely interventions and capacious handbag. :-)

The Mr Benn website is, well... the only thing it doesn't seem to cover is an alien abduction syndrome. Has anyone managed to get a degree out of the subject matter? It seems to beg some spawny git getting way with it.

All good fun though.

AAC - it's just your dirty mind... *cough* That script was done for a joke one Christmas (1977, IIRC), although the actual show was full of innuendo if you wanted to look for it (and in kids TV, you always do...).

Let's face it, this is the country that upset right-wing Christian groups (slogan: putting the 'mental' in 'fundamentalist') in the US by having a purple, handbag-carrying Teletubby with a triangle on his head (apparently something to do with gay pride). You should see some of the more outré theories circulating about (amongst others) the Moomins, Mr Benn and the Magic Roundabout.

In the modern world the Teletubbies have more conspiracy theories than most - my favourite is that it's firmly rooted in drug culture. Let's face it, they talk in a way no-one can understand, like pink dust from a windmill (obviously a reference to Amsterdam), get the munchies on a monotonous basis (and it's whatever comes to hand), and like to dance in the flowers. As for what the Noo-Noo is sniffing, I'll leave that to your imagination... As a clincher - where else do you see people staring at their stomachs and giggling?

FWIW, I was a C cup by the time I finished puberty (back when I was thin), D by the end of college, and 15 years and way too many pounds later I am currently a 42G. Can't say I'd really like them smaller, since they balance out my hips fairly well.

Howevery, I've just started working out and dieting last week, so hopefully that will slowly reduce to something more reasonable. Not that I expect to get back to the 36-26-38 figure I had in early high school, but nonetheless there's a lot of room for improvement.

I have an underbodice for one of my italitan reniassance dresses which works pretty much like an elizabethan corset, and it does create impressive results.

I was browsing in a local bookshop, along with another woman, when a sales rep came in. He was trying to talk the manageress into stocking a book about Beethoven. In an effort to convince her, he was offering some advertizing material to put in the shop.
"I can give you a lovely bust," he said to the manageress.

To get even more like the Discovery Channel, go to http://www.widdy.demon.co.uk/rainbow/films.htm and click on 'Twanger' for the infamous Rainbow episode...

(Note for Americans and other strange beasts: Rainbow was a children's TV show designed as a rival to Sesame Street. Taking the Ernie and Bert relationship to a new depth, Rainbow had a pink hippo, a big bear who liked to wear skirts, and an S&M soft toy gimp whose mouth could be zipped up. No, really.

The 'Twanger' episode stooped to new levels of depravity, and has entered folklore. Unlike the 'Captain Pugwash' myth, this one is terribly, terribly true...)

I know it's normally considered bad form to advertise, but... our site (www.doublerainbow.co.uk) does every back size from 28-56 and every cup size from AAA to J (shortly going up to JJ when we get in the new Silhouette ranges). The site is still in the process of being completely revamped (no pun intended there), so the new pictures aren't up yet, but you can certainly order from it. If you don't see exactly what you want in your size, e-mail us and ask - chances are that we can get it for you.

Einalem, we have a lovely manufacturer called Panache who will solve all your problems; they do a very extensive range called Superbra which includes many styles in all sorts of colours, from 32DD to 38G. They're also not expensive. I wear lots of them myself, and I also have a good friend who takes a 34FF and is very happy with them. If you want to spoil yourself a little, there's also Ulla, a German firm who cater for back sizes up to Wagner-soprano and make gorgeous lingerie in really good quality fabrics, also in a range of colours. You'd be at the small end of the Ulla scale. If you order something from us and it doesn't fit, you can return it and we'll give you an exchange or a refund promptly and cheerfully as long as it's in saleable condition.

Andrea - would you be interested in doing some bra testing for us? We need people in a range of sizes to review lingerie so that we can put as much information about it on the website as possible. In exchange for reviews, you'd get the option to buy the products at cost price if you wished. No hurry to decide, but if at any time you're interested, please let us know.

One of my friends is a re-enacter (I was disappointed not to see her in a wimple, as she's built like a Weeble. In the nicest possible way...) and got one of her friends to make her a corset for her. She liked it that much that she's now having a leather one made.

In a 44EE!
