My thanks to Sarah Courtney-Green who sent me this astonishing fossil that she found whilst waiting for a ferry in Fishguard. This is clear and irrefutable evidence that dodos were alive and well and plocking around the Cambrian period in Wales, at least 500 million years longer than was at first thought. Even as we speak embarassed zoologists all over the world are flinging themselves on to sharp objects in an orgy of contritional self- punishment.
