Welcome to the new jasperfforde.com. This site contains tons of information about my books, links, new pictures for desktop wallpaper, an annotated section of The Eyre Affair, a 'Word Inventory' describing made-up words, reviews, writing notes, and even the opportunity to be featured in the second of the Thursday Next series, Lost in a Good Book (US edition).

The site is, I hope, easy to use. On the top left is the contents tab and since each page has the same background as this one, navigating is a doddle. You may like to visit Thursdaynext.com which has information about the Swindon Literary Detective, as well as details of the Toast Marketing Board, a photo album of Swindon and the Mammoth Migration Homepage.

A week ago the WH Smith Book Awards nominated me for their New Talent prize which was a very great honour. Since these awards are decided by the public, I'd be grateful for any votes I can get. If you think The Eyre Affair is worthy of such an award, you can vote either in-store or online by clicking HERE.

The second Thursday Next story, Lost in a Good Book will be out in July (UK) and I have already started on TN-3 The Well of Lost Plots. Ever wonder what characters in books do when you're not reading them? Want to know more about Grammarsites? Stay tuned!
