The Fforde Ffiesta is an informal convention for fans of Jasper Fforde where you can: Meet Jasper Hear exclusive readings from forthcoming books Become a Danverclone Set the record for Shakespeare speed reading Play Nextian Croquet Take part in audience participation Shakespeare 'Name That Fruit' The Fforde Ffiesta - The most fun you will ever have in Swindon A message from Jasper The 2010 Fforde Ffiesta was a huge success and my thanks to the Fforganisers for putting in all their time and effort, the staff and management of the DeVere hotel Swindon and everyone who came from far and wide to join in the silly fun that made the weekend so enjoyable. The final attendance score was 143 from eight nations including the USA, Australia, Estonia, Germany and France. We were also grateful to welcome Tabby, Phoebe and TJ to the proceedings, who did much to lower the average age of the delegates, something of which the oldest of us were most glad. My thanks would not be complete without mention of the Somerset contingent, who battled confusing roadsigns and bravely went without cider for nearly forty eight hours in order to bring an extra dimension of welcome lunacy to the proceedings.
