Outland The name given to what is generally known as the 'Other Place' or 'Real World' although the term is strictly arbitrary. BookWorld philosophers argue constantly over what is real and what isn't. 'Outlander' is the name given to a person who crosses from the real world, and anything from the Outland is known as 'Outlandish' Collections of 'Outlandish' artefacts is a hobby pursued by only the very wealthy or very sad. Traffic cones can change hands for anything up to thirty guineas, and it is reputed that Solomon has a collection of twenty-seven novelty teapots.
