Interesting factoid: Wendoree means something quite rude in the local tongue. So possibly it caught alight from the blushes!

So then I started thinking about books that aren't what they say they are, the best I could come up with was The Rainbow by D h Lawrence but there must be better ones than that?

Well, First Among Sequels isn't the first of the sequels…

But it suggests that it is the best of those that exist. Not true either in my opinion....

"The Last Book in the Universe" by Rodman Philbrick was published in 2006, so is probably not.

and "The Last Book You'll Ever Read. And Other Lessons From The Future" by Frank Ogden, wasn't. I have read plent since then.
