<HTML>I just wanted to say how much I LOVE this book! I cannot put it down. It is killing me to write this since it is taking me away from reading! (Did I mention that I am at work - sitting at my desk - doing nothing - not even answering the phone - since 9:00 a.m. - except reading this book???)
By the way, how different will the UK version of "Lost in a Good Book" be from the US? I don't think I can wait until Jan 2003 if I can read the same thing in July 2002! Any ideas?

<HTML>I've just bought an American copy so I can see, should have it by the end of the week. This will be my 4th copy. The first paperback has fallen apart after being loaned out so much (and I only got it at Christmas), the hardback is a first and is safe <G>, the second paperback is about to be reread by me before being loaned out and this one comming is an Amerian hard back and looks nicely different. I will be interested to see what bits the publishers have changed because they think Americans cant work out what it means.
I'm not saying there that I think Americans cant understand other cultures, just that from what I have seen from other translations (mainly Terry Pratchett) publishers don't think they can. (Hence the requests from Merkin friends for original versions).

No offense taken. That is why I asked. The English have words that are common to them that us Americans look at and scratch our heads! If the difference is not too great, I am sure I could figure what certain things mean. I have a good friend who is from England and she will be able to help translate!

Dont know how I'm going to manage until the next installment.... Hopefully this bizarre website will mean I wont be starved Next and Fforde escapades!!
