Breaking into Conan-Doyle

<HTML>Dear Jasper, a safer way into Conan-Doyles work could perhaps be found in "The Hound of The Baskervilles." Holmes declines to travel to Devon from the outset, claiming a case of blackmail would keep him in London for a few days. This was a ruse of course, but would make an excellent opportunity for a literatec agent to meet with Holmes without any of the other characters finding out. Or, if you placed an agent at the very end of "The Final Problem" I'm sure Holmes would himself act as a guide as he has three years to fill before reappearing in "The Empty House." No true accounts of this time are available so you could go where you liked as long as you picked up a wax bust for continuitie's sake.

P.S. Just made another sighting of Mycroft in "The Bruce-Partington Plans." He seems to be doing well for himself.</HTML>
