As I mentioned in another thread, I currently have six cats:
Smokey (female, age 12) short-haired silver tabby, quiet and overweight, a "pillow kitty"
Pepper (female, age 11) short-haired calico tabby, very small, loves to climb
Turkey (female, age 3) Birman, tries to mother all the other cats
Fluffy (female, age 2) long-haired tannish-gray tabby, prone to dreadlocks
Jack (male, age 2) short-haired dark-gray (almost black) tabby, long and tall but lean, quite a hunter
Callie (female, age 1) short-haired mostly black calico, thinks she's a puppy, hero-worships Jack
Turkey is the mother of Fluffy and Jack. Neither of them looks anything like her, though. They take after their feral dads. (We were intending to breed Turkey to another Birman and then get her spayed, since my daughter who was 16 at the time had never had any newborn kittens, and myself having grown up with mama cats dropping at least one litter a year I thought it was an experience she shouldn't miss even though letting your cats breed is politically incorrect these days. But she escaped from the house before we could put that plan into effect.)
All of them sleep on my bed except Pepper, who is not a cat's cat and tends to hide whenever any of the four younger cats are around.
