Whats the deal with the new book covers? My sister and I were some of the first to read the The Eyre Affair back in the day and I really liked his colouful, plain covers with dodos over them. When I got Something Rotten I just figured maybe it was a differnt covers as it was the hardback version.

Anyway, the first three belong to my sister and now she is moving out I will not longer have access, noooooooooooooo! Want to buy my own set but really don't like the new covers; bring back the old covers Jasper!!!

Maybe you could make your own cover?
I'd like one with the Toast (tm) propoganda poster on it...

Use real toast(tm)!

Wasn't there someone a while back who was making extra special super-duper one-off covers?

I'm not risking mice eating my books!
Although with some melba toast and enough lacquer...

Don't remember who it was, but she made one for Jasper which is now on his "bookshelf" page. It's quite beautiful!

You might be able to find copies with the old covers on amazon or ebay

Well, you probably didn't mean me, but I thought the one I did was extra special (but, then again, I think all of my books are at least special, if not extra so!) I highly recommend avocational bookbinding...you can put your favorite covers on your favorite books. (You can even mix and match...put The Eyre Affair covers on the Fourth Bear to confound your friends!) My rebinding of TEA is in Jasper's Bookstack, if you want to see it.

p.s. to Skidmarks: if you did mean me...Thank you!

Yes, Ffran, it was your binding for TEA that had stuck in my mind.
