What are you lot worried about. At least you have sites in your own country. Those of us in the Southern Hemisphere just watch and wonder.

Jasper, I reakon in book 4 you should definately land Thursday in Australia. Preferably in Tasmania, then I can get there easily.

Ooh Chatsworth, I love that place :)

I was showing Rhys pictures of it the other day. I think I'll take him some time in summer

Chatsworth is great. I went there on my birthday - had a wonderful time. There is so much to see, but the highlight as far as I was concerned was the statue of the veiled vestal virgin. You wouldn't believe anyone could sculpt a credible veiled head in marble, but somebody did. I forget his name; he was Italian, but amazingly he wasn't Michelangelo.

There's also a literary connection, as it's generally agreed that Jane Austen based Pemberley on Chatsworth. Is that a good enough excuse for a Nextian convention there?

IIRC Pemberley was 'played' by Lyme Hall in the BBC TV adaptation.

In Lyme Park near Stockport in Cheshire for those who don't know what I'm talking about.

'Due to illness, the part of Thornfield Hall will tonight be played by a bus-shelter in Rickmansworth, instead of Tatton Hall as billed. We trust this will not spoil your enjooyment of the novel'.

'Go out there and knock em dead kid ... you're going out as a bus-shelter, but you're gonna come back a palace!'
