Anyone remember Richard Stilgoe? Little bearded chap who used to play the piano, sing comic songs (usually very fast, just to show you he could) and create curious anagrams of his own name, including Goliath Strider and Giscard O'Hitler?
Well, you may be interested to know that I have found another of these anagrams, and it is Scare Holt Rigid. Just thought you'd all enjoy that.
I remember Richard Stilgoe all right, I've got a concert tape of him performing with Peter Skellen (got halfway into the living room to look for the tape before I remembered Skellern's name). There's some lovely comic songs and a fantastic duet of the 'Black and White Rag' (theme from 'Pot Black'), played at the speed of light. Well worth listening to.
I've got the same thing on CD! :-) That's actually what made me think of it. Well, that and the fact that Richard Stilgoe makes a guest appearance in the "Nextarillion", of course...
"Surreal bath" - that's great! I have those, actually. I've got a pair of rubber ducks which won't float upright for anything; I'm convinced they're drunker than Wilfred. Picture if you will one bath-hatted lady of a certain age, up to her neck in bubbles, patiently trying various different tactics to get those blessed rubber ducks to swim in approved duck fashion... yes, I think that probably counts as a surreal bath...
