Admitting to total ignorance, and going for the easy gag which must be repeated ad infinitum, a Bolognese is a breed and not just a foodstuff?

Bolognese is lots of things besides spaghetti sauce .... anyone or thing from Bologna, in fact (except baloney). See here for the dogs of that ilk;

Hmmm. Bob is just a happy idiot, and quite content to do doggy things, but Mia is a devious, unprincipled, ruthless, cunning little bitch with a heart as black as the Earl o' Hell's weskit. She could probably give Minsky a run for his money in the intelligence and machiavellian stakes. And oh, yes, she's a drunk. If we walk down the lane she runs full tilt (still on the lead) for the back door of the Swan.

She loves me, though. What that says about me I daren't think.
