Have a nice time. At the current rate I think that will be around 100 posts to read for each day away... Maybe you'd better find an internet cafe at some point during your holiday? :-)
Have a great trip! We'll miss you, and you're right, you'll likely have plenty of catching up to do when you return.
Closest I'll likely get to Wales any time soon is our local Celtic Festival on July 12th. Some folks from our sister city (Brecon Wales, which I gather isn't terribly far from where Jasper lives) generally come and do performances, (along with other folks) and teach workshops and such. It's a one day event that draws about 10,000 people (not bad, considering it's only been going for a few years). There's Ceilidh & Contra dancing too, which I'm going to try to stay for more of this year, as well as Highland games.
During the week before they have other events, like youth soccer (football) matches between the two towns teams, and whiskey tasting at a local restaurant.
Hope you have a great time on the hillsides of Cymru! (do they have hillsides in Porthmadoc?) If you feel fforum withdrawl coming on you can always go for a brisk walk, if you're not doing that already! :)

Have a GREAT time Jon (Claire, Bob & Mia too!)
Since you're going to be gone, I've made an executive decision...Whatever Next will be coming out during the first week of July. That way we don't have to rush AND we can get the WOLP release in there too. Sound okay? Hope so!

Is that by Kurt Vonnegut? I've heard of it somewhere.
Got lost in Wales once without being lost, due to 'transmutation'. I was out cycling (when I was 7 stone lighter) and having been overflown at about 20 feet by a pair of RAF Jaguars, rolled downhill into Machynlleth. When I arrived it was 'Fachynlleth', but seemed to have been built by the same architect. Later I heard what 'Croeso Y' can do for your geography.
I take it that the Nextarillion has to be kept well away from keyboards on the basis of your previous comments, so you seem to have hatched a good plan. Enjoy.
Jon: interested to note that you listed your dogs before mentioning your lovely wife. Still I'm sure Claire will understand.
Bring back a stick of rock, please
Bryson, like an ass, wanted to use it as public transport to get from Blaenau to Porthmadog. It isn't public transport, it's a theme park ride ... the public transport is the no. 1 bus, which runs ten times as often, costs a fifth of the fare and takes less than half of the time. Mr. Bryson's name is still mud in Porthmadog.
