www.auntiemomo.com/cakeordeath

had some listings, ticketmaster.co.uk had the details of the sheffield gig (but not the date, so had to go to the arena site to find out!)

AND registered user of izzard.com I was *supposed* to get prior notification of tour dates etc.

erm, not yet...

also playing (from ticketmaster, no dates)

bournemouth international cent
brighton centre
sheffield arena
MEN Arena in manc
NIA Arena in Brum
Nottingham Arena (go on, guess where that is)
SECC
Telewest Arena, Newcastle
Wembley Arena

As Sheffield is the 10th, Manc is the 15th DEc, I'm assuming they'rea ll around those dates

I like Eddie Izzard, but I'd prefer to see him somewhere a little smaller, like City Hall. Surely the Arena is too big for a comedy act to work well ?

skiffle: I completely agree. I've seen him quite a few times now in various venues, and he works better with a small crowd he can bounce ideas off, heckle back etc. His shows are becoming more 'polished' for want of a better word, and, dare I say it, less funny...

Sarah: check out either www.izzard.com or www.auntiemomo.com/cakeordeath.

Eddie Izzard is one of the funniest comedians I've ever seen :D Completely random at times, and totally brilliant.

I agree with Dave. May be it's just the shows I've been to but when I saw him on the 'Definite Article' tour it was the funniest show I've seen. He hasn't been as good when I've seen him since.

Dates fro tour -

December 6 Brighton Brighton Centre
December 7 Brighton Brighton Centre
December 9 Birmingham National Indoor Arena
December 10 Sheffield Sheffield - Hallam FM Arena
December 11 Newcastle Arena
December 12 Glasgow SECC
December 13 Glasgow SECC
December 15 Manchester Evening News Arena
December 16 Cardiff International Arena
December 17 Bournemouth ICC
December 18 Nottingham Arena
December 22 London Wembley Arena
December 23 London Wembley Arena

Hope this helps some and thanks to the folks who already posted before I did I literally dashed out yesterday lunch time to bag some tickets for the Manchester gig! Funny as he is I question the logic in trying to sell out the MEN just because my fellow Boltonian Peter Kay did....

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
