Oh good.

I know that some don't work. The site that was hosting them shut down and I haven't had time to fix all the links. I'm working on it, albiet slowly.

Which was your favourite?

Incidentally, I've fixed them now (I hope). So you can read the rest!

I never said you were a dog!

Admittedly I compared the noise you made to Dick Dastardly's Dastardly Dog, anything else is your imagination - I was only playing off a reply you'd written yesterday...

Besides, I'm sure you'll call me worse...

Did I say you did?

Nah, I'm too nice. :) <innocent grin>

No offence taken really. ;)

Have you read my stories, Ben? (That's the worst I'd call you!)

Sarah B - You're dealing with such gentle good humour. Any thread labelled 'Fetch' deserves a sucking chest wound at the very least! ;-)

It's just the kind of warm and fuzzy person I am. :-)

Besides, I have a whole assortment or axes and spades of various sizes in the cupboard, I've just temporarily lost the key...

No, I haven't read your stories. I tend not to read other people's stuff, as I know I'll only wonder why I'm not doing the same kind of thing...

I may have a read at some stage tho'.

They're not *that* bad. The general opinion is favourable. They're mostly Stargate-based, but I don't think it's actually nesecary to know the programme well to understand them. They're just funnier if you do.

btw, if you're the Thrombosis, what does that make me?

Dunno, but I'm the bloody clot that buggers up the system. Bearing in mind that your posts often follow mine with beneficial effects, maybe you're the anti-coagulant?

Whoops I forgot you were good at climbing PSD.

Hmm, there's a thought. Far too biological for me though. I'm a pyhsics student.

(And to think, we're clogging up our dear Mr Fforde's inbox with this thrilling discussion...)

EDIT: ===> And one that can't spell either. You know, I've just realised that when you mis-type 'edit' it comes out as 'diet'...

Hmm, depends how far apart the walls of a concrete box would be - otherwise I'm bloody good at bridging and chimneying. Best avoid Birmingham for a while though...

Sarah - Sleeping Beauty. However, it was the only one I could read. We(collective co-workers who read over my shoulder yesterday) can't wait to read the others.

Thinking of reading things, if anyone fancies reading some of my short stories and letting me know what you think of them (I love getting feedback!), then I've put a link up in my profile to my section of the uni Creative Writing Society.

I drink to drown my sorrows. Unfortunately they've learnt how to swim.

Well Tracy, I've fixed the links now (I think) so you should be able to read the rest.

I love the fairy-tale ones. The first one was written on a coach coming back from London when I was immensley bored and had nothing better to do, and after that I started seeing the parody opportunities in so many other things...

I had the first half of a 'Wizard of Oz' one written at one point, but I got bored of it. I may yet resurrect it.

Just out of interest, do you actually watch Stargate, or are they funny enough without?

I've read the "Sleeping Beauty" one and thought it was very funny, but it would definitely have helped to have known the characters. It's good stuff, though... I shall be back for more! :-)

Sarah - I do watch Stargate and love it. I've got about 5 hours of it to watch this weekend to catch up from the week.

I'm just starting to go thru the rest of your stories - you are quite good!
