FWIW, there are currently 161 users with profiles. Most of those have made fewer than 10 posts, and a large number have made none.

Then there are people like Skiffle who would be on this list in no time flat if they'd just set up a profile.......

Here are the current top posters (with more than 50 total posts):

*struggles to escape the ropes*

Just wanted to post another so I could get out of being tied to Big John. Nothing personal, just claustrophobia.

You're actually up to 59 now (you were posting while I was compiling the statistics and posting them), so you should be safe.

(and this should put me at 575)

BTW, if anyone is wondering how I compiled these, I marched up through the profiles, starting with:

(panjandrum, Posts: 16 )

And kept increasing the id number until I got to 162 and got an error message.

(and now I'm at 576)

Naturally I tried to pick a time when not too many folks were posting, and did it as quickly as possible.

Good - keep it up y'all and I'll start to look slightly less obsessive...

worryingly I still have a healthy lead over #6 in the list.

Great having some fresh blood on the fforum! Welcome all.

The next Fforde-meet is gonna be huuuuge...

No, actually those were all things I thought to mention after having sent the previous post. AND they contain full sentences which actually impart some information.

BTW, an honorable mention goes to:

Ptolemy
Posts: 38 (at the time I compiled the statistics)

Seeing as he's only been here a few days.

Congratulations to Jon and Sarah on reaching four figures. And to Magda for realising there was a simple way to compile the lists...

Sheesh, thanks Magda! (blushes) Sincerely hope some of those 38 posts of mine have been considered reasonably (at least) worthwhile! I'd certainly like to continue for as long as you good people are happy having me here (just let me know if I bore you, I can take a hint!) - but I should perhaps mention that I'm going to be away on business till next Monday and will probably only be able to catch up intermittently at best during the evenings till then. If therefore I start making even LESS sense than usual, it's only because I'm quite literally losing the plot.

Incidentally, kudos to the good people who administer this forum; as an administrator myself of a similarly sized one that's been running a couple of years now (and a "Pajandrumesque" figure on another) I know only too well the effort that's required and the head-scratching it can cause, and I have to say the approach that's taken here is to be applauded. My heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.
