Quack, quack!

I notice that there seem to be ducks in rather a lot of threads at the moment, so I thought I'd create a new one for all further duck-related posts. Let's see if it actually works!

Well it wouldn't be right if I didn't follow that so, true story: I played cricket yesterday. I might have known, the way things have been going lately, that I'd be out for a duck :-(

So, your innings was completely ducked, then?

PSD, our entire side was completely ducked over. We won the serious sport of the day though, in the pub afterwards. We always win that!

Mwaaaaaaaahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa!

So, this duck thread... it's web-based, right? :-)

Well, if we're going to have duck puns in this thread I had better join in the general fowl play rather than just swanning around in the background. It's well known that, despite minor differences, we're pretty much all birds of a feather on this Fforum, and we all think a good pun is just too coot to pass up.

(Is "take a gander" just a British phrase?)

This reminds me of an episode of the Vicar of Dibley.

I hope this doesn't turn into a cock-fight. (My, that was terrible...)

I can't believe what I'm heron, but I'm not going to rail against this thread, as once bittern twice shy.

KT - 'Take a gander' is used in Australia quite regularly.

And I'm no good at puns, so I'm not gonna have another pathetic attempt. I'll leave it up to otherswho have that ability.

I'm impressed with us. All these water bird puns and not a single "shag" joke.

Kudos.
