And when you're pregnant the hormones make your joints even looser. I know this for a fact becasue when I was pregnant with my eldest we had a minor car crash which should not have affected me at all, but because of the pregnancy I needed physio on my back because I'd twisted it.
My lower jaw has occasionally dislocated, when I tried eating too much food at once (when I was rather younger) or _ on at least one occasion _ simply yawned too widely, although the last occasion when it did so was several years ago: However I have been able to manoeuvre it back into place, each time, without much difficulty or too much discomfort... Maybe there was a serpent (or a quasi-reptilian alien, as in the television SF series called "V"?) somewhere in my not-too-distant ancestry? :-)
