Anyway, a pantomime fairy doesn't have to look very fairylike...

(Quick chorus of "There is nothing like a dame"...)

By the way, the version of "Nobody loves a fairy" that KT's given us isn't quite the same as the one that I remembered hearing: I'll have to look through my collection for it this evening...

Sorry Sarah didn't read it properly - why don't you be the fairy godmother after all and DaveR your fairy sidekick in the tackety boots and the tutu? After all, every fairy should have a court...

I've just had a mental picture of Dave R in a tutu.

Aaaaaaaaaaargh!

As long as he brings the marshmallows... what am I saying - I loathe marshmallows!

He also does virtual chocolates, of course.

And the virtual chocolate covered strawberries are simply divine!

Color of tutu Sarah?

Pink, unfortunately. It's just not his colour... :-S

Oh that is unfortunate. Maybe if we found a nice blue one???????

Trust me, the whole Dave R + tutu combination is a bad idea. (Apart from anything else, I'm not sure they make them in his size!) He's very strong, though, so perhaps we might be able to find a role for him as some kind of soldier or guard?

with gold stars on I hope? (Don't put arsenic in my chocolates DaveR, it's just such a fetching pantomimic (?) image...)

But not with gold stars. *sighs*

Still, a uniform sounds good... The pince's messenger maybe?

Captain of the guard. Then you could put him in as fancy a uniform as you like.

Yeah, sure, I'll be Prince Charming.

Sarah, you may borrow my wings (or whoever wants them!)

And I have fairy dust, if people want to borrow....

I've done some pantomine-ish fairytale stories on my website, if people want to look. They are Stargate based but they could easily be anything else too....

You're looking at Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White under Humour.

But the real question... who will be Cinderella?

There's a hole in my creativity bucket and it's all leaked out.

Our village WI did a production called 'Cinderella Revisted', in which my Mum starred as a middle-aged Cinders whose grown-up daughter (played by someone who was *almost* young enough to be her daughter) is the one falling in love. As it was a WI production, all the roles were played by women, including the Ugly Sisters, who had some marvellous wigs.

I should perhaps translate for our overseas readers here that "WI" refers to "Women's Institute" and not "Wild Indians", although it's sometimes an easy mistake to make...

Great story anyway, Skiff :)
