The new Oxford English Dictionary is out today!

A few new words by all account are:

Cyberslacker: Someone who uses his company's internet connection during work hours to surf the net.

Blamestorming: A group discussing why a deadline was missed or a project failed and who is responsible.

Cantopop: Asia pop industry featuring Cantonese lyrics and western style music.

Bupkis: An expression meaning nothing, as in zilch.

Muggle: A person who is not conversant in a particular activity or skill.

Robata: Type of charcoal grill used in Japanese cooking

Anyone aware of any more? If so that'd be cushdy. Not sure about the spelling of that - I'll have to get some bling-bling and buy the OED.

James.

As far as I'm aware it's cushti or kushti, but I could well be wrong. Bit impressive of J.K Rowling to get a word in there so early in her career.

It is Cushti. Apparently it's a Romany word, here's an address. Can't do links.

And I love it that marmalize got in there.

Not fair, there are 13 words and 12 definitions.

Where in the site is that test? I tried to find it and couldn't.

I think 'cube farm' is the phrase for which they want a definition. Hence down to 12.

If the English language made any sense, a catastrophe would be an apostrophe with fur.

I got (written down on a piece of paper before I scrolled this far through the thread...) # 1 to 7, 9 & 10. I thought that 'emo' might be #8, and couldn't decide how to assign 'bangarang' & 'bashert' to # 8 & 12.
