New users: Please register in the usual way and then send an email to jasper(at)jasperfforde.com with your username, and write something 'Ffordesque' so we know you are a real reader, and not some idiot trying to flood the forum with dodgy Nike and Gucci gear. Thank you - Jasper
My page seems to be up & running properly now, although I haven't actually put anything into it yet. The edress for this is in my profile, and I'll try to turn it into a proper link tomorrow. I have listed Sarah as a friend: Does anybody else amongst you wish to be placed in this category?
I would like to be please, Simon, if that's OK with you?
"ptolemy" will find me on there as well. I have a humble page of my own (set up initially purely to be able to chat to my friend Sarah, but rather taking on a life of its own since) - I'll link you up to it just as soon as I get a moment.
Well, you can befriend me, for I am sloopjonb, but there's not a lot of point if you aren't going to write in it, cos I don't write in mine (I have a LiveJournal, under the same name).

Jon: Pseudonymous? At my age? Certainly not, especially if it's infectious! The very idea!
Oh all right then: think I've been registered as Splat21 for a couple of years but only wandered back in a couple of months back. Spose I might be down as AlisonS but I don't think so.

If the English language made any sense, a catastrophe would be an apostrophe with fur.
You need to click on Support, go to the FAQ page, and you'll find it in the first section - it's a question dealing with types of Blurty accounts. They are updating this question pretty regularly. I know the paid accounts aren't available yet, but will be soon.
Umm, sorry, Alison, we posted simultaneously and my answer was actually to Dante! I'm not sure I know how you can find out who you are... errrr... I mean, retrieve a forgotten nickname. However, if it isn't in the FAQs you can always post a support request (you'll find it under "Ask A Question" in the Support area). The powers that be at Blurty can certainly track down your nickname from your e-mail address.
That's the page i found, that said paid accounts weren't available. Does that mean there's no way of getting over 10 friends unless you were an early signer-upper? That seems a bit pants...
No, they're bringing in the paid accounts, but nobody knows when yet. There does seem to be quite a lot of demand for them, though, so hopefully it should be sooner rather than later.
