Forbidden Planet have announced a U.K. price of £499 EACH. They say that is £300 off.

I just can't get my currency converter to reconcile those numbers.

I'm famous!

Weta have included my testimonial (as Colonel W Crook). The portrait is pretty accurate, although I sport a goatee and have more hair up top.

Beware the cat's revenge:

You may never feel safe drinking from anything but an unopened bottle if you annoy a member of the feline species.

Sinjin left half a rat on the doorstep today. Yes, half.

At least he left it outside so I could have the fun of seeing it at the last possible second before my foot came down on it, recoiling sharply, and spilling my entire cup of coffee on the nice hardwood floor instead of on the DEAD HALF-RAT.

I love my cats. I do I do I do I do.

Unfortunately Champers isn't smart enough to catch rats. We have little lizards all over though, and when one got into the house, Champers chased it all over until it was exhausted, then poked at it until he got bored. (We put the lizard outside and kept an eye on it until it recovered, at which point it ran off, presumably to tell the unbelievable story to its friends and family.)

One of my friends cats has a "catch and release" policy. *rolls eyes*

Means they get woken up by the latest shrew under the bookcase at 3am.

I'd love to see a real life shrew... They look adorable on the telly.

It seems like the cutest animals are always the most nasty, though. Hummingbirds are vicious.

I don't know that Sin is all that smart. He did eat half of a rat, after all...
