Speaking of groups with academic interests and their slogans, one of my Electrical Engineering professors had a bunch of t-shirts printed up that have Maxwell's Equations (for electricity and magnetism) on the front, and "Union College ECE: We're magnetic!" on the back.

And our chemistry department all have shirts with elements from the Periodic Table lined up so their symbols spell out "Union Chem".

I just need to come up with a good one for the math department…

Ten points for the first person to come up with one for potters.

One that doesn't involve illicit substances. We've heard all those ;)

Lymond: What year are you?

People who throw pots. Sometimes very hard, and at other people.

Seen it and done it. *grins back*

Also remembers that scene. I think it was in 'The Naked Gun' although mrs. SkidMarks insists it was in some movie about spirits or poltergeists or something.....

What they are dancing around daffy is have you seen the film Ghost? If so, then THAT scene is a steamier version of pottery - the occupation of potter, however the rest of harry's family is also a valid point too ;)

Thank you. I feel all justified now.

So, a slogan for a potter's t-shirt?

Any takers?

Well, Martin, I repeat: "potters get it dizzy before fondling".

Perhaps a simple "Clay Play" is more fitting?

I think most potters would be bloody annoyed that the vase got ruined and have given patrick a slap.

Pottery classes are nothing like that though!

Skids, you're a potter? Got any tips?

I asked some friends who are taking a ceramics class, and all they could come up with was "Potters: We throw pots."

Potters, making storage practical since (insert date of first know pot here)?

(I am just eating my first and probbaly only cream egg of the year, I still haven't opened my Easter egg, this is seriously the one time of the year when I am not very interested in chocolate :( )

Oh dear. I'm not sure there *were* specific dates that early!

As to easter eggs, I don't have any actual eggs, as such. I had a little lindt one* but I ate it. I do have a lot of choc covered coffee beans and macadamia nuts however, from people who know what I like, lol.

*I assume you all read the definition, but this one was actually quite modest!

finally i thought of one for potters,

"Dont mess with potters, the wheel keeps turning!"

although you might lose the actual punchline in the HP hype and end up looking completely sad instead of just a bit geeky
