oh that's right - blame the girl!

I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok
I sleep all night and I work all day!

IT's o.k. MS. I will make it better by putting a nice song into your head.

(If you don't know it, search it out. It is like Abba on acid.)

Where´s your momma gone
(Where´s your momma gone)
Little baby gone
(Little baby gone)
Where´s your momma gone
(Where´s your momma gone)
Far far away

Where´s your poppa gone
(Where´s your poppa gone)
Little baby gone
(Little baby gone)
Where´s your poppa gone
(Where´s your poppa gone)
Far far away, far far away

Last night I heard my momma singing this song
Ooh wee chirpy chirpy cheep cheep
Woke up this morning and my momma was gone
Ooh wee chirpy chirpy cheep cheep
Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep chirp

Hmmm…I don't know that song, so it's okay. And I like the lumberjack song, but it ALWAYS gets stuck in my head--whoops, there it goes!

<sings> I cut down trees, I wear high heels, suspenders and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie, just like my dear papa! </singing>

It was and is "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" by a group called "Middle of the Road" from 1971. Some of the worst dross to ever (dis)grace the U.K. pop charts came from around then.

Come all you rambling boys of pleasure
And ladies of easy leisure
We must say adios until we see Almeria once again

Da da da da da da
Daaaa da da da
Daaaa da da da
Daaaa da da

Da da da da da da
Da da Daaaaaaaaa
Da da da da da da da da da

Everything changes in the face of the moon
Now times here and you're in for bloom
When you woo me
My luna girl

My feet two feet from the ground
I'm tasting colors and I'm seeing sounds
When you take me out of this world

Well I, I count my blessings
And hug my luck like an old brass penny
With two heads up
It's all right if you're late
I'd just hope that you find your way soon

Shine down light it up wash it over
Wait around for my mandolin moon
Come around till the sweet sweet morning
Come along I'll be waiting for you
Waiting for you

You pull the tides up around me
So much that it could drown me
And you surround me
My luna girl

Don't tell me I don't wanna hear
Wake me up before you disappear
Won't you take me out of this world

[Pre Chorus]
[Chorus]

I'm waiting
Still waiting
If only you could stay a while
I'm waiting
Still waiting
If only you could stay a while
I'm waiting
I'm waiting
If only you could stay a while

Shine down light it up wash it over
Wait around for my mandolin moon
Come along till the sweet sweet morning
Come along I'll be waiting for you

Came just across a fine one:

I can compost anything
In my marvellous compost bin

Grandad brought it home for me
From a journey overseas
When grandad died from drinking gin
We put him in my compost bin...

I put my finger in the woodpecker's 'ole
The woodpecker said 'Gawd bless my soul,
'Take it out, take it out,
'Reeeeemove it!'

I took my finger from the woodpecker's 'ole
The woodpecker said 'Gawd bless my soul,
'Put it back, put it back,
'Reeeeeplace it!'

I put my finger in the woodpecker's 'ole.....

Annie we've missed you, babe. Welccome back! Have a dram,

Skidmarks, you'll be hearing from my solicitors shortly. Chirp chirpy cheep cheep definitely comes into the category of cruel and unusual punishment, if not GBH. Aaaaaaaaaaargh.

Splat - I only want to hear from your lawyers if they can sing some really good bad tunes.

I collect bad music!

I am mightily impressed with my (recently acquired) Elvis impersonator singing "Whiskey in the Jar" and "Blockbuster"
