Porrige and pie on toast? I like that idea. I wonder if you could add a marsbar and deep fry the lot...

Cure for dry cake - soak in sweet or med dry sherry. When you can suck it up a straw, filter through wafer and throw cake away. Drink filtered liquor.

Can be done also with mint flavoured drinks but they work best on chocolate cake.

Also honoured to communicate with small number of monkey descendents to whom the writings of the Fforde are of value.

May I suggest, if not already known, the scribes named Pratchett T; Rankin R; and Holt T.

I'm willing to share chocolate ripple cake if anyone is interested - that should keep the sugar levels up nice and high.

Only if chocolate ripple cake is free range.

Really, I bought some mushrooms the other day and they had flat edges. I had never thought of there being battery mushrooms. Imagine their poor lives, raised in crates with out enough room to develop their own personalities. I bet if you put one to grow in an unrestricted place the offspring would cluster together. It may take several generations to break this man-made imposition on the basic personality of the mushroom.

Apparently the white tasteless ones were originally a genetic mutation from swiss brown mushrooms. Why are they so popular? Brown mushrooms taste better! I like free range mushrooms personally, enough space for the mycelium or however it is spelt to run rampant.
