Yes, but that too has its dangers...

I can't wait to get on gritstone! It's gritstone-like slabs that I'm injuring myself on - real rock has so many more lumps and bumps to stick to, however.

The problem is that indoors I know I can't hurt myself (erm, mostly) so I'll throw myself at things I know that I can't climb, to see how badly I fail. This results in more than the usual amount of snad[papering my skin down. And my joints will stop aching eventually, once they get used to it.

Sheesh...the enthusiasm of youth - or stupidity. You might care to remember that large areas of scraped skin are not too attractive to the female of the species.

On recent evidence, nor am I...

I'm extremely concerned. I *have* Big Night Out, I've *read* Big Night Out, and I didn't even notice that A Spot of Bother was by Mr Fforde. I did notice it was very good, but that's not really the point...

I'll have to claim that I was distracted by the fact Anthony Stewart Head's in it too...even more excitement wouldn't have been good for me.

I've now been single for the longest period of my adult life, dammit!

You're only 21 ! Don't panic. When you get to my age you can panic.

Don't panic. I've also been single for the longest period in my adult life which is very nearly as long as you've been an adult ! (PSD that is, not Skiffle)

Also, lay off dissing Leeds. It's great. Everything you ever needed from a city and right next to the Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District.

Ha ! Got it with a rolled-up copy of the Sunday Times Culture magazine. (April 6th issue).
Bees get shown out; flies and wasps get shown heavy magazines

Well, at least it died in a suitably cultured way...

An alternative would have been to throw yoghurt at it.

I didn't have any yoghurt handy and it would have made a mess of Mum's curtains.
Any particular flavour of yoghurt recommended for catching wasps ?

Dunno. It's just the only thing I come into physical contact with that can be considered cultured.

Until I visit Sheffield, anyways ;-)

Just a thought...

Did anyone ever find out what the password was? (This could have been something that happened whilst I was in the ether...)

Just something that occured to me whilst I sit here in the library, bored.

(Before you comment, I *could* go and look through the fiction, but it's all the way over there. So I'm not going to.)

Right. Random resurrection of old post over for now.

I know the password, if someone wants to know before reading the book email me. I'm not going to post a spoiler.
