New Apple iSock to hit stores by 2009
The long-awaited iSock was yesterday unveiled to a rapturous reception at Apple-Expo, confounding critics who had thought the market leader in electronic consumables had gone 'one step too far'.
Delegates were wowed with the presentation by Apple's chief of innovative market penetration, Mr Dent, who lambasted the 'staid and tired' sock industry, which has long been known for it's 'low-tech approach to in-shoe technological advances'.
The iSock will use advanced toe compression algorithms to allow the 8mb version to store upward of a seven hundred toes, as well almost sixty thousand verruccas. It will initially be available in seven colours, and two different types: 'iLeft' and 'iRight'.
'It's a major step forward,' claimed Mr Dent, a comment that was met by groans at his unintentional joke.
Not to be outdone, Microsoft has reported that they too are working on a similar project called 'Zaxstava' which will offer advantages that the iSock does not yet boast, such as the option to have a paisley pattern and a cut-down version of Word that you can write with your feet.
