One of the greatest novels ever written...a man poisoned by a book. Yes, everyone knows about the picture thing...growing lines while Dorian remained youthful. But it was Lord Wotton's book that poisoned Dorian, making him evil.
Which version of Dorian Gray did you read, HB? As I recall, Gray meets Lord Wooten, who describes his extreme hedonistic view, rather than Gray reading about it.
I have a Signet Classic...Lord Wotton lets Dorian borrow a book...it's untitled, I think it has a yellow cover. This book causes him to reject that girl with an S-name whom I can't remember, who ends up taking cyanide.
I stand corrected Hunchback - I admit even now that you have described the event, I can't remember it. In my defence I haven't read TPODG in ages. It must be time to re-read it, so thanks.
