I now look like Kryten.

Actually, the Swifties were hte most frustrating bit. Especially as I went 'Hurrah! I can do these!' and typed 'SAGELY' for the first one before I'd read it properly...

How you doing, Jo?

I kept typing 'thymelessly' and wondering why it wasn't working...

Just seen Jon whinging about the spelling of 'Drawer' - and after all those appalling puns before?

It means that, in the full stream of time, there are periods in which the author (and indeed myself, which is why I copied it) becomes excited about a particular topic. Why?

Oh, the "Quantum materiae materietur marmota monax si marmota monax materiam possit materiari" bit? Google it....

Well, I'm now stuck on the blimmin' dodo...
After a *very* frustrating half an hour trying to tell my printer to print - its stopped talking again :( So I've resorted to writing the bits I need out onto the screwed up computer paper.
Anyone know anything about computers? And printers? Its a Compaq IJ300 and I am nearing the end of my tether now...

Printer fix;

1. Disconnect and unplug underperforming peripheral device.
2. Open the nearest available real-world fresh-air inlet.
3. Check there are no carbon-based lifeforms at lower end of fresh air/workroom interface.
4. Hurl printer out of window, using maximum force.
5. Buy a biro.

And I don't do appalling puns .... I do really dreadfully appalling puns, BUT, I spell them correctly.

Oooohhhh.... that sounds like fun... I might even aim for some of those people who insist on doing their laundry at godless hours in the morning (my bed is right above the pump room for the launderette)
If only I didn't have to print out the first bit of my dissertation for inspection by my tutor tomorrow... :(

And I still haven't got the dodo bit {sigh}

Is the answer one word or two? Ie is it two words joined together as one, or just one word?

(Holds up one finger)
One word.
(taps two fingers on arm)
Two syllables.
(makes big circle with arms)
The whole thing.
(mimes patting himself from head down to waist, and then stops. Repeat until somebody gets it).

Cheers {grin} I was looking for a pun, with all the talk about bad puns above...
(although I would argue that the picture isn't accurate enough for that answer - being really pedantic...)

And now I can't get the odd ones out {sigh} did the obvious ones, and it just bumped me back to the Forest of Dean. Time for some unobvious ones methinks...

{HUMPH} Am going to bed now to sleep on this - I can't get any combination to work, although I am probably repeating some now that my caffiene has worn off...

Top one obvious, ditto second one, by the third one I'd given up again and the fourth one i really have no idea, although I seem to remember using my last vestiges of logic.

Well, 3 down could be 2 words, but if you're a lawyer it's only 1.
