Gotta love that panic button when you've only got the one move and can't find it. Problem is, if you use it too early you can be royally stuffed later on in the level.

Panic is indeed a godsend. You get better at spotting the single move at the end though.

I've downloaded it on my home computer cos I can't make it work online, and it only lets you have 20 sessions of 4 games each before you have to buy it (or possibly re-download it) so I'm not going into it to check exactly, but I've got to level 7 and about 128,000. So yes, you're beating me...

The java version? I must have played it more than that by now

I don't know, I just clicked Download Now.

But I've just discovered I didn't have Java installed, so it probably works now.

(I thought I had Java, but I think I was thinking of Flash. I think my geek-brain needs rewired.)

Anyway, I've got the chat room working. I think. But nobody is on it.

Ah, well that does need java.

I've been playing the Java version of Bounceout, and I think the scoring must be harsher, as I've never got to level 7 with more than about 90,000 points...

Ah, well, it turns out I only actually had 106,000. Misremembered.

And I've never got quite that far again, but I'm averaging about 70,000. Back on the online one today...

Any relation to the badger that William Wallace wore for a jockstrap at the end of 'Nextarillion3' ?????

I got a glimpse of 'Bored Plant' and instantly thought of Appleby Mennym, but never thought anyone ELSE would get the reference!

Before Thursday Next The Mennyms were my passion, The Mennyms were what I lived for. I'm still probably the only fanfiction writer, and the only one who's ever tried to make a movie of the second book with friends ...

... yeah, I know we were off that topic for a while, but whoah. You are my soulmates. Whee.

You did read all of them didn't you? There's something about them that's Borrowers-esque.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrgggggh!

If you look at one, it stops moving, but the others carry on seeming to do so.

I know! I can't figure it out at all! They're not moving really, are they?

Certainly lives up to the title of this topic though you must admit....

You can get them to stop...

look at a point where two touch and let your eyes cross ever so slightly.

and no, they're not moving. The patterns are organized in such a way that spirals on adjoining circles face in opposite directions. The eye/brain connection, which naturally translates spiral patterns as motion, just does its job and makes the circles appear to move. But when you focus on the point where 2 of them touch, it effectively cancels out the "movement" on both of those particular circles. Then once you let your eyes cross slightly, it takes the focus off of all the circles, thereby causing your brain to cease the optical illusion.

and now back to our regularly scheduled program....

lol

Hot stuff AAC.

Once went out with a girl who did Psychology and she was always moaning they did far too much of this sort of thing.

Who was it said they were rejected as too 'nice'? This was my equivalent. Soon as I was out of the picture she took up with a chap who knocked her about and in three months she was on anti-depressants.

Doesn't mean I was ideal for her, however.
