welcome to all the newbies...

Frankly everyone has been very busy during my day, so there's millions of posts (ha - that'll get the proportion of PSD posts down) and I'm already forgetting who I've said 'hello' to.

So 'hello' to everybody who's new here, glad to see a load of interest in Mr Ff (I assume it's related to WOLP). In the unlikely event of an emergency the exits are located all around you, usual procedure is to swear loudly at the computer and await rescue. We hope you have a pleasant flight of fancy...

Oh,a nd don't bther trying to stay on topic - we always find a way to corrupt it again...

I'm gonna just wait and say hello to anyone who's still here after two weeks, I think...

..except then I'll forget, and they'll think I'm horrid and evil. No, wait, I am. So that's ok.

And "Welcome", from me, to anybody who's joined us since the last time that I said this.

Ditto, ditto.

Welcome from me.

And don't mind our spelling either. We're always struck down with at least a mild case of the misspelling vyrus...

(And no, that's not a spoiler for WOLP as I *still* haven't read it yet!)

Welcome also from me, and from my cats, one of whom (Minsky) used to post here regularly until the new ID system was introduced. He doesn't like posting under my name, so he doesn't often do it, but he still reads the Fforum from my lap now and again.

Hi all. I'm a newbie.

I wasn't actually here when the above mentioned welcomes were made, but I'll consider them as refering to me predictively in order to give me a nice warm feeling of welcomeness and to stop people having to repost a virtually identical welcome.

Anyway, I'll let you get on with things, and have a quick look round to find out which not-quite-rules-but-we'd-appreciate-it-if-you-didn't traditions I've broken in my hasty first post.

And here's a few words about me should anyone be interested: I have TWoLP on order from Amazon as no bookshops in the country (the Isle of Man) seem to have it. I also enjoy reading books by other authors.

rob, who hasn't been a newbie anywhere for some time

rob, welcome to the fforum....

And yes, it was as predictive as retrospective, so consider it to apply to you too... There are no rules here, so I can't think of any you might have broken. Ignoring the topic seems to be compulsive, but then you'd expet that anyway. Otherwise we're perfectly nice and welcoming. Find a beer and a comfy chair, and make yourself at home...

Wow a welcome mere minutes after my first post... thanks.

There is (one hell of a lot of) extra info about me in the 'meet...' thread... akthough I can't imagine anyone reads it all.

rob, who is off to bed now

I read it all. I'm nosy enough to want to know everything. Shameful. I welcomed rob and chelseagirl in the 'meet the fforum' thread (which was a bit naughty of me) but I'll do it again here, and welcome anyone else whom I have missed.

BTW, we seem to have stayed on topic a heck of a long time this thread.....

Have I been here long enough to welcome newbies?

I'm sorry, that was clearly on topic.

However, for a piece of tablet, I'll let you off...

Okay, deal, one piece of cyber-tablet on its way.

And don't all be asking for it, there isn't much left.

Thanks for the welcomes. I have no idea how long I will last here--life is unpredictable these days and reading this much on-screen is really bad for my eyes--but am enjoying it so far. Must order WoLP soon.

I answered the quiz on Meet the Fforum if anyone needs penance for something.

Hello to all and thanks for the welcome. I haven't filled the "meet...fforum" yet. Slightly intimidated :) Still I'm having fun and figure every crazy creative group needs a straight-man (or woman) to provide applause.
