(By the way, it's not working very well. I've lost one whole pound in a week and a half... I've certainly 'not eaten' more than one pounds worth of things I wanted to eat!!!!!!)

Sarah - When something isn't working well, stop doing it and do something else. No use pouring all that effort into a plan that is not giving it's best effort back to you. I mean really, you've been so loyal and what has that diet done for you, nothing but a pound in a week and a half. I'd get rid of it and be done with it!

Sarah B, I am sending you seven half pound bars of virtual Galaxy. That's one a day for a week to take the edge off your appetite. Whenever you feel the craving for 'real' chocolate (a poor imitation of e-chocolate), just take the time to unwrap one of these quality virtual bars. Sniff the aroma. Delicately nibble or gorge, it makes no difference; all the calories are strained out by the broadband. Enjoy.

Should you prefer a different brand of e-chocolate, I can arrange for alternatives to be sent.

Tracy, which chocolates go best with red wine?

Dave R - the darker the chocolate the better.

Strawberries dipped in said dark chocolate is almost perfect.

I'll be sticking with the diet until the e-chocolate runs out, and then I'll re-assess the situation I think.

Problem is I can't give up yet - the thought of collapsing on a hill in the middle of the Pennines does not appeal to me.

Done it a few times, Queen of Fairies (BTW if sick of that just say so).

I used to go cycling in NW Derbyshire for 60 to 90 mile runs, and the hill that always got me is the one coming out of Hathersage towards Sheffield. It isn't as big as a lot of other hills in Derbyshire but :-
1) It was the last one going home
2) You cannot see the top until the very last moment.

Hence I used to take the hill from Ladybower into Crosspool, 1300 feet rather than 1200 from memory. Smooth slope and a summit you could see from way off.

Snake Pass is a doddle from the East as it's a very gentle slope to 1600 feet except the last 300 or so, from the West it's grim determination as it's about one in eight. Highest is Holme Moss, and least practical is Winnats' Pass - about a 900 foot rise at one in five pretty much all the way. Walk up it, and your heels won't touch the ground.

Every pound counts - eat e-chocs, so good for you.
