Well, considering that "tomorrow" may actually now be "today" for you Brits, happy birthday!

AS I've been to bed and now got up; why yes it is today, not that fake today, when you've been up all night and really it's still yesterday, but in fact it's tomorrow, but really they are all today.

Er…yeah…that's what it is now for me, being 4:40 in the moring. The birds are starting to chirp loudly enough for me to hear them through rather thick walls…

Well, yes…but what I was getting at was that I hadn't gone to bed yet. It's always bad when the birds wake up before you get to sleep…

I find it quite relaxing. I am definately a night owl.

I'd far rather go to bed at the crack of dawn than get up early.

Whereas I am neither a night owl nor an early bird. I like to go to be early and stay there as long as I can the next day. Guess that makes me more of a sloth than anything.

Hello, I'm Susan. I'm 43, I'm married to the Dodo, I no longer dye my hair and when I was 15, I snogged the actor Steven Pacey, who went on to play Tarrant in Blake's 7.

One of those quirks of geography.

Actually, there are few things more wonderful than leaning out the window in the cool still of the morning listening to the birds and watching the opalescent colours of dawn stain the blue-grey sky...

Then going to bed and getting up again five or six hours to miss the worst of sunburn time, and getting to watch the sunset before the day *really* begins for you.

I loved Blake's 7. Some more great work by Terry Nation.

So living farther south just gives you an excuse to get up late(er). "I did get up at dawn, it's 8:00!" Actually, dawn is a couple hours earlier where I am, but meh, who's counting?

Yeah, but it's a trade-off. Later in the winter, earlier in the summer.

It sure is depressing standing at the train station to go to uni each morning when it is still dark. Bring back summer!

No, depressing is being snapped at by complete strangers for five hours, then almost breaking down completely when one person is actually *kind* to you.
Pity telemarketers- They have it rough.
Especially those of us who work for charities.

I remember the date the last episode of Blake's 7 was shown on BBC1 - 21st December 1981 - I missed the last 10 minutes as my mother had rung from the hospital to update me on my sister's labour (a little girl. Leyna Louise at 1.20am the following morning thank you for asking) and I had to wait 18 months for the Beeb to repeat it so I could see what happened!!

My gripe with telemarketers is that they work under the assumption that my home is their place of business and my phone is the display case for their wares. I take that as being vaguely demeaning - however worthy the cause or however potentially lucrative it may be for me.
It is, however, no excuse for taking it out on the person who is simply doing their job. I invariably say, "No, I wouldn't be interested. Thankyou. Goodbye" and hang up. I've had a couple foolhardy enough to ring back and demand the time to explain their purpose in life, and I feel quite entitled to start refering to impossible manouvres with bodily bits at that stage.
