Amy turned on a dime, deftly swooped on the fallen truant officer, scooped him up in one arm, checked her pocket oxford for the spelling of participles for "panic" with the other hand, and - finally - returned to pick up the dime with her teeth. She squeezed herself and the unconscious T.O. into a shop doorway out of harm's way.
