Ack! So much for the International Kitten of Mystery's plan not to have a birthday and therefore not get old!

Cheers all.

Happy birthday for the 30th to HouseInTheWoods.

What a convenient birth date for tax purposes. (July-June financial years only)

Thanks all -- it was very conveniently scheduled when I lived in Canada, as the next day (Canada Day) was a bank holiday -- good for sleeping off the hangover in time for the evening fireworks!

I miss the Fforum, but have a four-week old daughter who is taking up most of my time lately -- a Nextian choice for a name: Jennifer. But unlike Thursday's Jenny, there's no questioning our Jennie's existence...and her tremendous lung power...

Congratulations also to Jennifer for choosing such discerning parents

HouseInThe Woods,

Congrats on Jennifer.

And happy birthday for the 3rd (tomorrow where I'm sitting) for Jazz-Sue.
(Remember 50 is the new 40)

Okay, I'll admit it - I was born in 1958 which means I am (oh joy of joys) 50 tomorrow. Celebrate? What for? I'm skint, I'm typing this wearing a broken pair of budget reading spectacles, I can't touch booze as I'm on so much medication I jangle when I walk, and there are more lines on my face than Clapham-bloody-Junction. WHAT THE HELL IS THERE TO CHEER ABOUT????

Happy Birthday for tomorrow J-S. 50 is a fine age. I saw it a few years back and life has got better since.

If you would prefer not to celebrate the number, at least blow a raspberry at him with the life-timers 'cos he hasn't got you yet!

Jazz_Sue,

Remember, smile they said, it could get worse, so I smiled and it did get worse.

Sorry that you are currently in a 'distressed 'state. Been there done that, and the memories are not happy ones.

However we are thinking of you and I feel that the combined positive vibes of the massed fforumites will bring you a better future.

Hang in there, kid. The next ten years will be better.

Jazz_Sue -- happy belated for the third -- ignore the number and enjoy the cake. There was cake, right?

Happy Birthday!

Or maybe pie? Anything sweet with a candle in it counts...

HBD ffolks!

if you went with the pies I hope that you didn't get a stake & kidney by mistake. There wouldn't be too much worse than taking a big bite, expecting sweet and getting a sweeney todd special instead!

Ah, the old steak and kidnet pie... not to be confused with stake and kidney as then we'd have to put an 'undead health warning' on all the pies and have a small scandal.

You can use cocktail sticks for the individual pies.

(Is the kidnet a clean version of the internet and doesn't the pastry inhibit TX/RX?)

The pastry inhibits TX/RX but fortunately if you use the puff variety you can upgrade to 'Magic Dragon'-net. Guaranteed to make all your wishes come true.

Egon.
