When one has had a skinful and is in need of suitable sustenance I have found that buttery toast with garlic salt, or, hot mushrooms with garlic and butter sauce can make a difference for the better. The white ones are entirely suitable for this sort of debauched living, and if you've got the square ones you can get them to line up with the edge of the bread.

Funny how so many threads end up talking about food at some point.

Best skinful sustenance is, indeed, buttery toast. Additions optional and to taste.

White mushrooms absorb other flavours better though. I'd never put strong mushrooms in my lasangne!

Was that earlier reference of MartinB's about origami toast?

I never knew that toast folding was an approved art form. I only fold my toast when the bread is too thin and the toppings fall through the bread.

But now I'll work harder at it knowing that there is a chance of being a big cheese in the Welsh Rarebit folding world.

White bread could be made into origami- I'll see if I can make a flapping bird, next time I am at my boyfriend's house. White-bread-free-zone-here.

Origami toast? When did I mention that?

Sounds like a good idea though....
