Congratulations Team,

This is the first thread in memory which has not diverted to food.

Keep up the good work, or is there a movie in which cannibals eat hundreds of innocent people?

that will do the trick and get back onto the culinary trail.

You broke the chain! Now we HAVE to talk about food!
Gosh, I'm hungry…

Are we talking about real food? There are chips and fish somewhere just waiting for me to arrive...

I knew it. You are a mob of latent foodophiles.

I think Jasper would be on a winner with Thursday Next - In the Kitchen: Don't Mess With The Cook.

In which on page 3 she shoots Nigella Lawson rationalising that Nigella is a puppet of the Minotaur and has been foisted on us as a joke.

In the Great Library there is mayhem in the Cooking Section as ingredients do runners and swap between recipes so you get cheese and banana lasagne, tandoori gelati, and other delights.

Thinking back to batchelor cooking days these don't seem to extreme.

I think he should do it!
And a double page spread on battenberg. Anyone for a slice? I won't, but it's pretty! Well sort of.

Bunyip, as you suggest, the green beans could indeed do a runner but the mung beans would simply shoot-through. Maybe the baked beans would just eventually pop off, the eggs scramble and the curds go awhey.

The gingerbread man is one thing, I suppose, but sentient ingredients?

Sure, why not? Celery stalks. Butter pats. Asparagus spears.

Time for an offtopic:

Did you know that soap is like political statements. Both are made up of various lyes.

Now return to topic.

apples turnover.
and in the underworld jargon: pate grasses.

Re reading above: how do you think anyone but Landen would be dealt with if they went up to Thursday and asked for 'a quick slice'?

A programmer started to cuss
Because getting to sleep was a fuss
As he lay there in bed
Looping 'round in his head
was: while(!asleep()) sheep++;

I love the internet.

But did he have the ram to run it?

It would be no problem if he hadn't. My computer also tends to go to sleep when it runs out of memory. First it's geting slower and slower, until it stops working at all.

But I never heard it snore.

Why would you need a ram to run a computer? Surely a hamster in a wheel would produce more power?
