My thanks to Joe Roth and Brenda Taylor who submitted the following pictures for the 2004 "Thursday Next Extreme" competition. These were both taken on a rafting trip from McCarthy to Chitna. McCarthy is 61 degrees 25'58"N and 142 degrees54'39"W, which makes Joe and Brenda the most Northerley readers discovered so far. McCarthy is located in the heart of the Wrangell St. Elias National Park and looks rather fun.
