Mammoth illustration for Lost in a Good Book This was one of the three 'possibles' for the colour illustration Penguin asked us to do for Lost in a Good Book. The others were a boojumorial/Cheshire cat and the grammasite that they eventually went for. This was my favourite, with the chaos that ensues when the mammoth invades Thursday's mum's garden. The pet dodo looks very startled and you can see the broom that Thursday's mum is wielding behind the mammoth.
