The Great Samuel Pepys Fiasco was indeed a title for a Thursday Next book (it is mentioned briefly in Something Rotten as an adventure that happened somewhere between TN3 and TN4) It won't be written. Drawn by Maggy Roberts to my brief, this is what we think the cover might have looked like. I was especially keen that Thursday5 should drive a 2CV with a 'Nuclear Power? No Thanks' sticker on the back. I became convinced when a child that they were a factory-fitted option.
