I've met Spike!

& now I have that out of the way. He sounds really different IRL. Obviously his accent is different, but his voice is so different! He bleaches his hair *shock* No I'm not being serious, I knew that. He had roots showing when I met him. Stood in a queue for 4 hours just to see him (well, to get a poster signed anyway)

Oooh Alyson Hannigan, I was so glad when Willow turned out to be gay, it meant I could fancy her even more. I know i.r.l. she's hitched to Alexis Dennisov, but her character is gay, and that's good enough for me.

I like Spike though, he is so funny, and his British accent rarely slips.

according to the IMDb, James Marsters was born on 20th August 1962.

Why, that's even older than Rob!

40 will be considered old for the next erm.....(frantic working out).....erm....3 years 5 months and 14 days at which point it will be considered very youthful indeed.
Thank you.

That reminds me of a definition for the term 'middle-aged' that I saw somewhere or other_ "at least ten years older than whoever's using the expression'.

Certainly I'm getting to the stage where 40 doesn't seem old. I'm sure I won't have grown up and got a proper job or done anything useful by the time I turn 40...

The thing about James Marsters is that for a while, noone knew his actual date of birth. There were about 3 different years which he could have been born in. So imm-de-be could be wrong :)

The thing I like about Spike-from-Buffy is that he's a Manchester United fan.

Evil, vampire, no soul, not from Manchester .... what else could he be?

*snork*

As usual, Jon, you have hit the nail squarely on the head.

For what it's worth, by the way, 40 is definitely not old! I shall be 40 next year and I've never felt better. :-)
