I know a friend who wants to get a guard swan for his digs...

Welsh guard swans are the best. They have lethal force training.

I dunno. The black swans we have south of the equator can do a severe amount of damage to one, especially as their beaks are usually at the same height as the sensitive zone of the human anatomy.

But the most frightening are the Canada geese in London. We fed them, as tourist do, then the b*stards became very belligerent as the food ran out. they then swarmed at me to ensure that there was no more. My wife has photos of about 30 canada geese gathered around me as i balanced on the back of a garden seat. Big buggers they were!

My father was bitten on the ankle by an angry anti-tourist toucan.

Geese make excellent guard animals, and are known to chase off predators as well. And they are a similar in size to swans.

We have Canadian Geese here on our campus. They stop traffic when they cross the roads and are generally very inoffensive, even when I'm talking nonsense at them to while away the time.

Dont trust anything with feathers. They are only biding their time til we are weak and then they will launch their military take over of the world.
I've seen the gleam in the budgie's eye... I know what it's planning...

Kitten, you should have known better than to leave the cage anywhere near the TV when you watched "The Birds".

I think that is is probably good advice.
The policeman in Manchester certainly was trying to Duck Feet when he met the Ranger's supporters.

They are Canada Geese, not Canadian Geese.
We have some In a local pond that I pass every day.
They seem to tolerate pedestrians but will hiss at cyclists.

I stand corrected, if slightly miffed. Unfortunately the geese aren't dressed as Mounties (or members of the RCMP to be strictly accurate) but they do command a lot of respect.

Incidentally, 'Iron Man' is a very good movie. I've seen it twice. 'Nuff said.

Egon.

It is not bad. Batman is still the cooler hero though. ;)

Plus Ironman is Marvel. *shrug*

Yes, Batman is cooler but I'm concerned that The Dark Knight is going be to a little 'hostile' to non-aficionadoes, while Iron Man is very - I can't think of a better word, sorry - approachable.

Golly, this place is so much nicer than the DC Comics boards. <Shudder shudder>

That's what I keep telling my bf but he wants to hang with comic snobs...
*sigh*

Did you stay for the end of the credits?
If not, you need to go see it again...

I did stay until the end, yes, and saw the bonus. I have to say that I'm not sure it was worth the wait but at least it's interesting. Next up, Indiana Jones 4!

Incidentally, the ducklings are doing well, but are decidedly less cute now.
