Ah, sweet old Sam the Eagle. (I was thinking about Eric the Viking by mistake).

I never really watched much of the Muppets, I think I was watching stuff like Herman's Head and Monty Python's Flying Circus instead. All part of a child's education!

Then you've never seen Gonzo the Great catching a cannonball? Or Fozzie reading poetry in the snow? Or... 'Pigs in Space!'?

You poor deprived person, you!

How can anyone make it through childhood without seeing the Muppet?

We need to arrange some intensive therapy for you, BH.

It's time to dress up right
It's time to raise the curtain

Ah, if only someone would buy my 'The Muppet Show' boxsets. If only...

Gonzo is the best of 'em all!

Egon.

I think I'd be Mary Lou, but I'd want be to Sherlock Hemlock.

I agree with the elmo haters. A wannabe Grover, and nothing more! I have to change threads though now, before the elmo-angry overtakes my day!

(Yes, I have issues. I am aware of this)

I have requested the volume 1 of the original Muppet Show as a present for being a good boy. Mind you, I requested it some time back before Father's Day but I live in hope. Maybe in a bark humpy before long the way prices and incomes are going, but within walking distance of a terminal so I can still access the forums.

Goes off humming: Doo doo do do do doo doo, doo doo do do do doooooooo,
doo doo do do doo doo , on the Muppet Show toniiiighttttt......

etc

Ah, the first season. Be warned that it's still quite unformed in that first year. Piggy and Fozzie look completely different, for example.

Yes, it a sort of telecinematic equivalent of Colour of Light. But without it the rest doesn't become so good.

Best remembered line: someone to Sam Eagle: 'Remember Sam, birds are naked underneath their feathers'.

Colour of Light?

Surely you are thinking of Magic Fantastic.

Still, it can't actually be a BAD thing as it's The Muppet Show!

Ah, the joys of Beaker singing 'Feelings'...

Grover all the way!!!
I remember Louis and Maria.
I have recently bought the first season of The Muppet Show and a dvd of the best of the first five seasons of Sesame Street.

The girl who did the piercing at my salon had bert & Ernie dolls with piercings everywhere you can imagine! My have been a worry to small kids having their ears done!

Not easy being green, eh?

Unless, of course, you're just wearing your Green Lantern shirt...

Green Lantern shirt? I am claiming total ignorance.

Look behind you... a three-headed monkey!

What! Someone admitting ignorance of the Green Lantern?

Next you won't know the Green Arrow, or Challengers of the Unknown, or other such classic literature.
